Blog 7- Practicing Sentences

For this week's blog, it was mainly focused on practicing sentences, and coming up with more sentences, to become more fluent.

Below are a few of the sentences I have been practicing!

This was the week where I really pushed myself in regards to my knowledge and learning, especially in regards to remembering and recalling words and phrases.

Working off of last week's goal made this week a bit easier, as I had already constructed sentences before, so this week was just more setting everything in stone and practicing to become more fluent.

My boyfriend and his mum really helped me pronounce the sentences properly, using the correct tenses and tones. They also taught me a bunch of common phrases Chinese people say, and helped me practice typical conversations between Chinese people.

Actually having a conversation in Chinese with David and his mum was probably the most helpful thing to conclude what I have learned. It really finalized everything I have learned in the last six weeks and also taught me a lot more things I could say, especially in different ways!

This was the best way to end my Genius Hour Project, as I was able to apply everything I learned to then put it all together and applied it in my every day life- with my boyfriend and his mum!

I will continue to practice this not just for next week, but as often as possible, so I can continue to remember everything I have learned and to continue my growth in this beautiful language!

Thanks for reading!!
