Copyright is a serious matter that we tend to forget about or dismiss while searching for videos and images. Many people do not care about Copyright when using images in their work, or watching videos and referencing them within work, which is actually illegal.
Copyright is a law, that protects original pieces of work. It is a way for people not to copy or steal other people's ideas, pictures, videos, etc. People fail to understand the dangers of doing this, and the fact that it is against the law, in which you can get into serious trouble for.

As a future teacher, and someone with a decent understanding about Copyright, I have learned that you really need to be careful in regards to what images, videos, songs, or any other media forms you use within your personal and professional life.
I have also learned that you need to make sure anything you use has a Creative Commons license, which allows you to have access to the media/work you are wanting to use/share.
I have also learned that you need to make sure anything you use has a Creative Commons license, which allows you to have access to the media/work you are wanting to use/share.
Lastly, I learned about the website you can use: https://search.creativecommons.org/, to make sure the images and videos you are using and showing the class are in fact copyright-friendly.
I definitely believe that teaching students about Copyright is a must. Students need to become aware of what Copyright is and what it actually means/why it's important to not take images, videos and other work that is Copyright. I feel like teaching this to children is so important, but I really believe that teaching the students how to use the Creative Commons website would be the most important thing for them to become aware of. I was not taught this in school and I wish I had this exposure earlier on, in order to protect children from potential Copyright threats.
