CAN YOU BELIEVE THE TIME HAS COME? 😭😥😣
How did these 6 weeks fly by so fast? It feels like it was just yesterday I was starting to think of what I wanted to do for this Genius Hour Project, and now I'm here- reflecting on what I've learned on this journey.
This was such a fast paced project, but honestly I really enjoyed it. I feel like it really motivated me to really focus and practice what I needed to practice to meet each weeks goal.
My Genius Hour project- learning to speak Mandarin, started off slow, learning the basics, then gradually learning more common and everyday words, then eventually leading into putting all the words into phrases and then complete sentences.
Within this journey, I definitely faced a few challenges, mainly with pronunciation/tones of words and combining words into sentences- making sure I used the correct tenses, verbs, etc. Other than that, I found this to be really intriguing and fun!I am super grateful to have had an opportunity like this, as it has really pushed me to continue my growth and practicing of the Mandarin language, as I can apply this within my everyday life (to my boyfriend and his family).
